Nic Willoughby died suddenly in September 2018 of an undiagnosed, very rare heart condition. Nic was a much loved and highly thought of young man. The Nic Willoughby Fund was quickly set up in partnership with the Heart of Bucks by his friends and family.
It has become an incredibly successful Charitable Fund. As Nic loved all sports the fund supports grassroots sports as well as funding Heart screenings for young people.
The Nic Willoughby Fund’s aim is to:
- Give Financial Support to grassroots sports in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, helping to improve and maintain many sports clubs.
- Support individuals looking to compete nationally or internationally in their specialist sport.
- Sponsor heart screenings (provided through CRY), encouraging 14-35 year olds from local grassroots sports clubs to attend but will be available to all 14-35 year olds.
