Cricket Tournament 2022
On 7th August, we saw the annual NWF 6 a side tournament return for it’s third year at Chearsley Cricket club, and it was bigger and better than ever before.
This year we had a team from Leeds and a team from Nottingham come down to the CCG, alongside the usual array of local clubs supporting this brilliant cause.
Tiddington CC and Trent Old Boys were the two teams that deservedly got to the final. In the end, Tiddington came out on top in what was a very close game.
A massive total of £2,179.00 was raised over the day which will go towards supporting Grass Roots sports and funding Heart Screenings.
This wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of all those who attended both teams and spectators. A special thanks goes to Chearsley Cricket Club for hosting us once again, to NWF supporters Jo & Eugene for the outstanding BBQ food, and to all who brought along a donation prize for the Tombola.
Having played for the club for a number of years, Nic would have loved seeing so many people at the ground.
